Aurelio D. Manto, M.D.

Dr. Richard Baehler has extensive clinical and research experience in internal medicine and renal (kidney) disease. His numerous hospital appointments have included Section Chief of Internal Medicine and Neuphrology at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY. Dr. Richard Baehler received his medical degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He trained as an intern with the Department of Medicine at Ohio University in Columbus, Ohio and completed a Fellowship with the Division of Renal Disease at Ohio University. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Medical Association. Dr. Baehler previously served as the Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Kentucky Medical Center, working as well with the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Chief Renal Section. He was also employed with Nephrology Associates of Kentucky before coming to Georgia in 2007 to work for Cowles Clinic Nephrology and Piedmont- Athens Regional Physicians Group in Greensboro, Georgia. Dr. Baehler joined Primary Care Associates in 2018.

Dr. Aurelio Manto, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts and holds a medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harvard-affiliated Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was on staff at Harvard Medical School where he worked specifically on training MIT's biomedical engineers and Harvard's medical students. After several years he took a position at Tuft's Medical School teaching medical residents. Dr. Manto's medical research was in the Department of Infectious Disease at Boston University Medical School. He has been published in the field of White Blood Cell mechanism of activation and response. After working in Boston, Massachusetts for 15 years, Dr. Manto was recruited to Atlanta by St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta to head up the St. Joseph's Medical Group at Cowles Clinic in Greensboro, Georgia. He later joined Piedmont-Athens Regional Hospital. Dr. Manto Joined Primary Care Associates in 2018.
