Cowles Clinic's Executive Health Program is meeting the healthcare needs of busy executives both locally and internationally through customized and comprehensive health evaluations in the beautiful retreat setting of Lake Oconee. Each patient receives an individually tailored evaluation plan. Our goal is to identify health concerns, diagnose conditions and provide extended personal consultation with the attending physician.
Health Evaluations
As an executive health patient, you will receive an extensive annual physical over the course of several days depending upon your choice of plan and personal schedules. All of your health concerns will be addressed.
Prior to scheduling your physical, you will discuss your health needs with our executive health concierge. A tailored health evaluation plan will be created according to your current health status and concerns. The concierge will schedule the evaluation for a single day or multiple days. For out of town patients, the health concierge will consult with you on accommodations and amenities of the area that would provide opportunities for recreation and a relaxing retreat during your stay.
Medical Services and Testing
A thorough head to toe evaluation using state-of-the-art, diagnostic imaging and testing will comprise your total health assessment. Each test is coordinated with other evaluations; there is no waiting and privacy is assured. Your customized plan will be tailored from the following medical services.

- Detailed history
- Physical examination
- Audiology evaluation

Female Patients
- Breast and gynecological examinations including PAP smear
- Digital "soft touch" mammography
Cardiopulmonary Evaluations
- Electrocardiogram
- Cardiac exercise stress test
- CT Angiography of the coronary arteries
- Coronary artery calcium scoring
- Pulmonary function testing
Comprehensive Imaging
- Helical CT evaluation of chest, abdomen and pelvis
- Bone density evaluation
- Virtual or optical colonoscopy (if indicated)
- Carotid artery ultrasound
Laboratory Testing
- Complete metabolic profile (liver and kidney function, calcium and protein levels)
- Diabetes screening
- Complete blood counts (for anemia, blood disorders)
- Nutritional screening (iron profile, Vitamin B12, folate)
- Thyroid screening
- Hormone panel
- Comprehensive cholesterol screening (routine and VAP evaluations)
- Cardiac and inflammatory markers (hs-CRP, fibrinogen, PAI-1, homocysteine, fasting insulin)
- Tumor markers (CA-125, CEA, NMP)
- Infectious disease screening (HIV, RPR, Hep panel)
- Immunization status
- Complete urinalysis
Sleep Evaluation - if indicated
An overnight stay will be arranged in our beautifully appointed, state-of-the-art Sleep Center.
Genetic Testing
Genetic testing is available and these tests help the patient understand their unique DNA. The resulting data offers in depth information about the patient’s ancestry, inherited traits and most important disease risk analysis.
Personal Physician Consultation – included in all assessments
After testing is complete, patients meet with their physician for a full medical report and recommendations. In addition to addressing medical issues uncovered during the evaluation, the physician will discuss specific methods to enhance healthy lifestyles and incorporate illness prevention tailored to the individual patient.
A written Follow-up and Wellness Plan will be provided to you. When needed, the executive health physician will consult with your personal physician or recommend appropriate specialists. Our physicians have established relationships with other top-tiered physicians allowing the executive health patient ready access to specialists at Cowles Clinic or throughout the world.
