Following your heart is now a much shorter and convenient trip. To better serve our patients in the Greensboro area, Athens Regional Cardiology has opened a satellite office located at 1000 Cowles Clinic Way in the Willow Cottage, Suite W-200.

Athens Regional Cardiology was established in 1977 as Athens Cardiology Group when two friends who trained together at Emory --Dr. James Miller and Dr. Hamilton Magill, III-- decided to become business partners.

The two men spearheaded a revolution in cardiac care in northeast Georgia. Today, Athens Regional Cardiology offers an extensive array of services and counts nine physicians on its staff.

Athens Regional Cardiology is proud to offer more experience and scope in its cardiac services than any other in our area. Services offered in our Greensboro office include consultative cardiology, exercise stress testing and risk factor modification.

Other services offered in the Athens office include structural heart interventions (ASDs and PFOs), angioplasty of the coronary and peripheral arteries, as well as pacemaker, defibrillator and ablation procedures, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

As part of Athens Regional’s Cardiovascular Center, our patients requiring cardiac catheterization, angioplasty and surgery will be treated at Athens Regional Medical Center, one of the only facilities in the region that offers a fully comprehensive cardiac program including open heart surgery.
