Family Eye Care Associates has been serving the Central Georgia area for over 25 years and is now proud to serve the Lake Oconee Area. We have a full time practice and are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for our patients. Both our ophthalmologists and our optometrists offer comprehensive eye exams as well as acute care. We offer contact lens fittings and instruction for all age ranges and have a variety of contact lenses such as bi-focal contacts and sport-tinted contact lenses. Family Eye Care will have full optical services when they relocate to the Willow Cottage, their permanent home. One-thousand square feet of space in the new building will be devoted to a complete eyeglass, eyewear and accessories retail center.

Our physicians diagnose, manage, and assist in the treatment of glaucoma, diabetes with ocular complications, macular degeneration, and cataracts. We offer pre-operative evaluations, surgical care, and post-operative care for cataracts, retinal procedures, LASIK/LASEK, various laser therapies, and facial cosmetics. We have state-of-the-art diagnostics such as Ocular Fundus Photography which we use to monitoring and diagnosing macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and many other retinal diseases. We also offer Optical Coherence Tomography for monitoring glaucoma and macular degeneration.

In addition to comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry, Family Eye Care Associates at Cowles Clinic also offers services in retina, cornea, external eye disease, oculo-plastics, and ophthalmic laser therapies.
