Dear Dr. Cowles:
Thank you for the fine job that you, Dr. David Lowther, and your excellent staff of medical professionals did to treat my prostate cancer. As you can imagine, being told of the presence of the cancer caused me to commence a substantial amount of research to find the best treatment for my level of prostate cancer, the most advanced technology, and the most qualified medical team. Dr. Bill Whaley was instrumental in guiding me to interview you for state-of-the-art prostate cancer treatment. As an oncologist and as my family's physician, Dr. Whaley has consistently given us great guidance. His recommendation to speak with you was excellent.
During my research, I learned about all of the factors that can result in post-treatment symptoms that reduce quality of life, including impotence, degraded urinary and bowel function, etc. I am pleased to tell you that my experience has been quite favorable. Further, the treatment was performed without the need to make more than minor alterations in my work schedule. As you may recall, approximately three weeks after my last day of treatment, I traveled to Hawaii and enjoyed a two week vacation with no negative effects from the treatment.
As you encounter others that view the frightening news that they have prostate cancer, I hope you will tell them of my experience and the fact that I am grateful to have been referred to you and your team. Thank you, Dr. Cowles. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lowther and each member of your professional staff.
Sincerely,
