The GE Logiq S8 XDClear allows us to obtain excellent ultrasound images on many different body types across a broad range of applications including abdominal, breast, obstetrics/gynecology, small parts and vascular.
Scan Assistant software allows the system to automatically perform frequently used functions, which helps shorten exam times and enable more focus on the patient.

General

Preparing for an ultrasound
No eating for drinking after midnight the evening before or 8 hours prior to the following tests:
- Abdominal (includes aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys)
- Aorta
- Renal
- Hepatic, Mesenteric and Renal Artery Dopplers
Drink 32 ounces of water 1 hour prior to the following exams (arrive with a full bladder):
- Pelvic and first trimester obstetrical ultrasounds
No prep required for all other ultrasounds performed at Diagnostics Cowles Clinic.
