Dr. Jeffery M. Williams

Dr. Williams graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biochemistry followed by medical school and residency at Emory University School of Medicine. He then left Emory for Charlottesville, VA and completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Virginia. He took a position at DeKalb Gastroenterology in Atlanta for four years then moved to Tyler, Tx to become Director of Endoscopy at Trinity Mother Frances until 2006. In 2006, he moved to Athens and started Athens Gastroenterology and has been able to attract the world-class physicians of Drs Qadri and McCutchen to join the practice of AGA.

His interest include helping his wife raise their four children and being involved in their activities that include volleyball, soccer, football, baseball and tennis. When not taking care of patients or spending time with family, Dr. Williams has been known to play a round of golf or two.
